    Potential Convert from remote Canada

After years of lying in a tent I think I am ready to reduce the load and stress on the back and try out the hammock.

After some researching I think I am going to opt for the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC but still trying to do some research. There will be no option of seeing let alone trying before I buy and with the exchange rate these days I have to be sure before I drop close to $1000 on a new sleeping system for me alone.

I'm a fairly large guy(188cm and 102kg) so it limits many of the hammocks. I also travel in pretty remote locations and help could be several days travel away so reliability is at the top of my list of requirements. Been reading lots and will likely have many questions as I decide and then get into the hammock.

    Welcome to the group.

Hang onto your wallet, this is an addiction!

I am from Fort St. John B.C. via Portland, Oregon.

You are going to love Hanging. Just be aware that most of us own more than one hammock, Underquilt, Top quilt, etc... Then there is the ever increasing bling...

Welcome to the forums from Southern Ontario. I'm 6'3", 260 lbs and really like my Blackbird. Can't go too wrong. Let those questions fly!

    Hello!

I'm from central Ontario but canoe in northern Ontario in the James Bay region. I use either a blackbird or dangerbird...both excellent quality. I have custom quits from UGQ for really cold tempts. Tarp is a superfly.

    Cheers!

Oh I'm 5'8" and 200-250lbs depending on time of year lol
