I made it up Saturday morning - after a late night of work and a few hours sleep I ventured up to Kawartha Highlands - the drive took a little more than 2 ˝ hours. When I arrived at the parking ggreaves and Jim were there just loading their sleds and we ventured in as a group

Nice and toasty in my Empire wool anorak

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424955226.606445.jpg

The trail was an easy hike with a few hills

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424955275.031130.jpg

And a good amount of snow

My home for the night ......
WBBB, superfly, HG incubator, and on top a 20°burrow inside my 20°mummy bag( I've been liking that combination lately)

I also did not use my sock this time - with the WBBB zipped open it seemed to work well. I did have to add a layer in the middle of the night - I was just in my base layer - which is plenty warm with the sock , but without I needed my puffer sweater. After I had that on I was toasty till I finally rolled out of the hammock around 8:00am

Sunday was an easy morning where I tried my homemade dehydrated eggs ( mixed with grits to help rehydration) - they worked and tasted like eggs with grits (not really a taste I like - but I tried) I think I'll stick with oatmeal

It was a nice time out and great to see some faces again and meet some new ones
    Until the next hang

    Cheers

Looks like a fun time, can't do that down here in North a Georgia, but we do our best with what we have! Must be a hoot pulling the sled behind you, as always, thanks for sharing the fun with all of us.

    Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That be making use of all that Eastern polar cold.
Like the hot house setups...been eyeing the Seek Outside tipi and ti stove as a second warming cooking drying shelter....not to hang in though...keep that separate.

I can barely get a night below freezing in BC though hahhhahaha
