Perhaps that should have read "whole day/paddle". As in I can come meet up later in the day and spend the night, but I'm not going to be able to make it down in the morning on Saturday in order to join the aquatic adventure.

Man Card surrendered, equipment on lock down, all pants have zipper on the side. Wife family plans, I can't come. Truth, birthday party for my brother in-law in MD. 1. We are very close. 2. Its in MD get to see grand kids. I fear I am getting close to one who says "I'm in" and never shows. How many more strikes am I allowed???

The Garden State Hammock and Dinner Association of NJ (GSHDA-NJ) should deal harshly with these kinds of infractions. I'm going to make a motion at the next meeting that you be ordered to change your handle to Deadphans-47Chowhound, and that we revoke your Senior Member status in GSHDA-NJ for conduct unbecoming.

I know this sounds draconian, but you had already garnered negative attention to yourself when you made the highly-frowned-upon mistake of grilling, rather than pan-frying, our morning bacon!
