I use AHE buckles, which are the same design as the Warbonnet, and the Kevlar straps work great. You do need to be more careful with them vs poly straps as the kevlar likes to twist. BTW the 10 ft kevlar straps I ordered are less bulky than my whoopies and 5Ft huggers.

That settles it then; they will be part of my next order (seems like weekly order). Thanks for the reply.

[QUOTE=Dutch;1420133]Well yes and no. The webbing is thin so it can twist easily in a cinch buckle. Does hurt the function but if you get a twist you have to work it out of where the buckle is. Small but annoying inconvenience. I works great in a Dutch Buckle because it is easier to slide. It isn't slick like Dyneema. ]

OK. Ready to order the Kevlar straps for the Switchback and retire my seatbelt straps with original Dutch clips and my beloved Bison cinch buckles. I use tree huggers (with Adutchable clip) and whoopies on the DD hammocks Superlight but I'm not crazy about whoopies.

I keep going back and forth from the website to this thread. I'm going with 12' straps (I carry a pair of AHE extenders in case) and sewed on Dutch Clips. I see the point about Kevlar twisting on the Ti cinch buckles and how Dutch recommends using the Dutch Buckle BUT it says the buckle is for use with whoopies, which I don't want to use. Suggestions?

Is Dutch working on a better cinch buckle for Kevlar straps? I do have the descender rings that came with the Switchback if it means waiting for the next improvement.

I got the Kevlar straps with Ti cinch buckle even though it is not recommended. I have only done some test hangs of 3 hours at the longest, but have not seen any twisting (or any other) issues at all. The straps are incredibly light. I think they might be injected with helium. I will be ordering another pair soon I am sure.
