Nice done! That's all you need. "Paint it black" then it fits to your PC.
But don't trash the garlic net next time you buy garlic. It's useful too in order to get a little natural thread tension and to avoid that your thread gets mixed up. You can buy a thread net from a sewing machine dealer but it is most likely too expensive. Something like that costs almost nothing and does exactly the same.
(Now I have serious problems. They come from all sides: Rectangular fabric cuts can be very difficult even if you have a rectangular cut pattern, fabric stretch is crazy, seam allowance, straight stitches, walking foot doesn't work with narrow roll hems, when using a roller foot I can't see the stitch lines, my roll hem attachments don't work with canvas, without an iron and pins I see no chance, zipper installation, there are several ways to do it but almost no way fits to my needs. There is no "perfect" way to do it. The best way I have seen was on a Grizz bridge hammock. I'm currently very confused. Flopsy hopsy or something like that.)
Thanks xxl I just got home from work and was able to try the cone thread holder and it has now fixed 100% of my thread tension issues! I don't know how I didn't see it but thank you for pointing it out and thanks to gmcttr for asking me what type of thread I was using, prompting me to show pictures of a cone, haha! So relieved now!
OK,
Problem, I ordered the rotary foot kit, it says it fits any machine.
The instructions say to push the "red" button to release your presser foot,, my machine does not have a "releasable foot" am I screwed?
as far as I can tell, I have a basic "high shank" presser foot.
any ideas?
Thanks,
Slack
Pics! How's a machine not have a releasable foot....maybe a lever or something?

The foot does not "clip" on or off
I have 3 machines, all the same

Ah, you need an adapter, a new shank that will fit your machine. Like this one http://www.amazon.com/Snap-on-Shank-Low/dp/B004GVMWBE
Got it, Mines a long shank machine,, So I need a long shank adapter,,
Very nice work. If I need a lesson I know where to go.
I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.
Have you looked into a straighy stitch foot? It helps prevent your ultrathin fabric from being pushed into the needle hole, and from being pulled up into the presser foot when the machine is making the lock twist. Definitely helped te puckering issues i recently had.
