I'm really bummed I won't be around for this! I've never been to a hang before. But I'm leaving for the AT right before. maybe next year

Don't think, just go
Sure. Rub it in. 😊
Swinging in the air with a flair.
If I'm around for this I will venture out, but the likelihood of me being around a pretty slim unfortunately.
Hello, I'd like to go Friday to Sunday. I'm on an iPad and can't seem to add myself to the list though..

Hey of you can't make this one for whatever reason we are having another one May 15-17th at The Pines Campgrounds in Ashby MA.
Wish I could make it to this one but I am running a scout training course.

I plan to be there with the double kayak
===> Right now I have to waffle a bit on this hang. My daughter is in charge of the American Cancer Society 'Relay For Life' at UMASS Dartmouth on the 24th. Last year I was the featured Survivor Speaker, and may be asked back again this year. Guess I was a hit! If asked again, I will be there. If not, I may still go. Once this is all settled, then I can commit to the hang.

Getting pretty excited about this one. Thanks to Gastar for organizing this thread. Life has been interesting for me lately, and I appreciate his help. I am really overdue for some hang time with friends.
If the weather is kind, we may have decent numbers. This is essentially car camping pre-season in a campground with some of the most hammockable stately white pines I have ever seen in one place.
Below is info as I posted in a FB group - expecting another 15 attendees from that group.
THE MAINE HANG III
APRIL 24-26th
THOMAS POINT BEACH CAMPGROUND
29 MEADOW RD. BRUNSWICK, ME
www.thomaspointbeach.com
Join the Fool Scouts for a relaxed weekend hanging out in Maine at one of New England's most beautiful oceanfront campgrounds.
Let's see how many hammock campers, musicians, paddlers, fools, and campfire enthusiasts we can get to join us. Not your thing? Show us how you like to hang out.
In short, it is a great chance to shake down the camping gear between the end of snow and the start of bugs with a fun bunch of folks.
Sunday morning, pancakes will be provided for breakfast and the traditional pre-departure pancake toss.
ADDITIONAL INFO -
* This is before the official opening of the campground, which means limited amenities - and limited expense - expecting under $15/night.
* Because this is mud season, all vehicles MUST be parked on the pavement.
* We will have hammock demonstrations for those who are thinking about hammock camping, or those who will first discover the joys of 'uplifted camping'.
*There is ample camping space, so we will have designated quiet areas for families or those who like more tranquility in their hang.
* If enough musicians are coming, we'll see about setting up the 10x20' canopy, walls, and heater for a pickin' space.
* Please respect Maine state law and leave out-of-state firewood at home.
Starting to gather gear ,first time at TP with the whole family.
===> Looks like I can make this hang! Time to start rooting through the gear storage bin to assemble gear with Francois! Think I'll bring the new WB XLC to try out! Gives me a reason to make more Whoopie Slings, too!
