    Great news, Skypainter!

Let's all hope for good weather and great times.

In keeping with the relaxed nature of this event, there are few specific agendas, but lots of great things to do from the area.

-Don't forget to bring a camera, if you're a photography buff - bring the good one.

-Local touring - by bike or car, the ride out towards Land's End on Baileys Island is a very scenic rolling coastal route which crosses the only cribstone bridge in the country. A must-do trip if you aren't familiar with the area.
-Shopping - Freeport outlets, local shops, and a Walmart two miles away for that piece of cheap interim gear you suddenly need when you realize you didn't pack your stakes and line.
-Paddling - large tidal flats and estuaries right from the beach. Several other launch points nearby.
-Critter watching - Osprey on site, herons and egrets common. Might be early for horseshoe crabs, but there will be shells.
-I will be making a pilgrimage to the Kennebec Fruit Company in Lisbon, ME for a can of Moxie with Frank. Frank is the owner, Moxie champion, sporadic character in Steven King novels, and everything wonderful about the term eccentric. Yeah, it is a weird activity - but I'm weird to look forward to it every time I'm in the area.
-The traditional 'Tossing of the Pancake' event
-Music jamming - got an acoustic instrument? Bring it camping.

Looking forward to this trip. If there is anyone who has long tree savers then bring them and I'll buy them. I have a pair on my wife's hammock that could use replacing with a longer set.

Something has come up that I can't get out of so will miss this hang. Bummer as it's almost in my backyard...

Bummer indeed, Grey Eagle. Hope you can stop by at some point, if you can.

On the better news front, cost has been confirmed at $10/person/night.

I'm going to try to make this hang and I'll bring some dyneema. We can make a set of whoopie slings or UCRs.

I will bring a guitar and a ukulele. Haven't touched the darn things in 3 months but hopefully I could accompany the pro's who play regularly.

===> I'm out for this one. I will be at UMASS in Dartmouth for the Relay For Life. My daughter is running the Survivor events and the Luminaria Ceremony which remembers and honors all lost or touched by cancer in any way. Both my wife and I are cancer survivors, and it is important for both of us to be there for her.

Have a GREAT hang! I hope to make one up there next year, and maybe even the big Bluegrass Festival they have there in September this year!
