    Poly 10x12 Tarp and Hammock

I built a new tarp and got it up last night in the yard.

It's silpoly v1 from RTBR. Nothing fancy, just a rectangle and tie outs. I wanted something with more coverage and more versatility than my hex tarp.

I made an 11 foot gathered end hammock out of the 1.1 poly from RTBR as well and slept in that last night. I definitely like the fabric. I'll be using this setup this weekend at Guadalupe River State Park.

I realized I really don't like waking up in the morning and not being able to see around me. Setting the tarp up with doors is going to be nice when the weather turns sour, but I'm definitely going to use a smaller tarp or deploy without doors whenever possible.

    That looks really good.

You could always go to porch mode for a view if you'd like.

hate to resurrect but did you use a cat cut on the ridgeline?

I was wondering if it was a cat-cut too just from the angle of the second pic, but I think it is just that -- the angle makes it look like the 2 top ends of it come to a peak. Nice work!

I think that's just what happens when the ridgeline isn't super tight and you crank down on the tieouts.

That looks great! What spacing did you use for tie out to create the doors? Looks like a pretty good compromise... a solid 3.5 season tarp

This is 8 yards of fabric just cut in half and sewn together along the long edge.
