    Update from the trail

Just a quick update for those who want to follow along. Made it to neels gap today. Had to zero at gooch shelter for bad weather with ice and high winds. Trip has been great so far. No blisters and the ole hammock set up has been great so far. I need to work on setting up my tarp lower for wind protection tho. Dutch thanks for the clips I think they have solved my problem. Also thanks to warbonett, hammockgear and wilderness logics for great gear. With a little luck and maybe some trail magic I'll make it the whole way.[AIMG][/AIMG]

Glad to hear your having a good time. I read your trail journal post earlier today. Hope the weather improves as you head north.
Every hike begins with the first step and ends with the last one, it is all the steps in between that create all the memories.

Congratulations and best wishes on your journey. Thanks for the update.
It is uplifting to read and travel along with those who are able to take those first big steps of a long time dream. Just making it to the trail to start a thru is more than most will accomplish.

Sorry couldn't find my last thread on my small phone

Trip is going good. Lots of cool people and tough hiking. Going slow to protect the feet I'm in it for the long haul. Hopefully short miles will produce longer days in the future when the body adjust.
Hammock set up is working great. Next update from Franklin in a few days or weeks. Lol
