Made it to Franklin where we are taking a zero. I got some new shoes from rob at outdoor 76 yesterday. Looking forward to see how they work. Still going slow to protect the body and enjoy every day out here. Headed for the noc in the morning and then on to the smokies. Let's hope the weather is good in the smokies when we get there.

Try to catch a sunrise at Cheoh Bald, which is a few miles past Sassafras Gap Shelter, the first shelter after you leave the NOC. Wonderful views. Have fun, take it slow!

At the noc doing a little stealth camping. Headed out to Fontana in the morning. Everything going good so far. Having a blast living the dream.

Chillin at Fontana lodge heading out in the morning. The latest report is 4 inches on the mountain. Having a slight problem with my left foot right now but, it might as well cooperate because I can't stop yet, having to much fun.
I noticed two little pin holes in my cuben tarp. I don't know how that happened because I've been really careful with it. I haven't had it in any brush or anything like that. I hope it holds for a few more weeks. I might send for my pro fly if it fails. Next stop Gatlinburg.
