I agree that the ENO tarp is good for keeping the dew or a light vertical rain off of you.

If I was you I would look at a more conventional tarp. Something from the Jacks or OES to name just 2 of the fine tarps out there.

Mine is "just" rectangle. Cat cuts when set up the way they are ment to be set up are better (tighter), but IMHO it dosn't allow you to change configurations. YMMV
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

your picture is the first time I've even seen one of those tarps!! and I've got to say... yuk!! I'd be hard pressed to even try just sitting on the ground under it, in the middle, to stay dry from a regular shower. I don't even think you could try to cook under there!! And if there was any kind of wind, you'd get soaked. It looks like that tarp depends a lot on how waterproof the sides and bottom of your hammock is???!!!! Try something else, try anything else!!!! Even a home made rectangle tarp would work better!!
Is there anyone on this site that has used this tarp in a rain storm???

Sounds like your Mind is made up... there are lots of tarps to choose from and you may end up with several.
