Thanks Gill. It was rough for a little while. Thankfully he is not suffering anymore.

My heart bleeds for you. I had to put my Golden Retriever Mike down in 2010, right after my wife was diagnosed with cancer. Talk about a double whammy. Geez.
But..... My wife has completed her chemo and radiation and (for the moment), all is well. We got a new Golden Retriever Charlie, who is a real character and allows us to move beyond Mike. Although we'll never forget Mike.
Look forward to seeing you Melanie and the kids this week-end.
All the best !

When we lost our greyhound in '10, it was the worst week of our lives. We have a little rescue now, Twinkie. She's a little spitfire. When my mom lost her lab a few weeks ago my heart broke for her. It's like losing a member of your family. So hard.
Twinkie the Wonder Mutt won't be joining us this weekend. She is a warm-weather dog. Hates the cold, so if it's raw at all, she'll hate it... Our neighbors are dog-sitting...
Go Twinkie ! Get spoiled.
I take Charlie camping for 3 seasons. Don't take him in the Winter because I can't be sure when he's telling me he's cold because he'd rather suffer than not come along on the trip.
Charlie is a rescue too. I'll show you some pictures of him over the weekend. I want to see some of Twinkie also.
See you guys tomorrow.
All the best !

I'm bringing my lab, Parker. Everyone will be in love with him by Sunday. He's such a friendly fella.
===> Final packing and food shopping this morning. Hoping to get there by noon today. Decided I am making Seared Sea Scallops on a bed of 5-rice blend with Spring Onions, Scallions, Red Peppers and garnished with fresh chopped Parsley and Lemon Wedges.
Can't edit the spreadsheet from this phone, but -
Bringing the two-burner Camp Chef Explorer stove. This weekend, we EAT!
Obviously, BACON!, Eggs, and Pancake mix with Vermont Maple Syrup go without saying! And I think I will channel Dutch, and bring Blueberry Pie Filling for the pancakes!

I am hoping to be there for 1:30-2:00. Called the camp yesterday and we should have a couple of portable toilets and a couple of barrels of firewood waiting for us to get there. Please remember to check in with the office.
