Hammocks in New England

I use diy gathered end hammock. Amsteel whoopies diy tree straps and aluminum toggles. Diy fronkey style bug net. Diy hex tarp with doors as itb will be used with mostly scouts so won't be going without doors pretty much ever. Diy under quilt from an rei down mummy bag. My top insulation is just my ems 30* down sleeping bag.

My son has nearly an identical setup. With an older ems 30* synthetic top quilt from a mummy bag and supplemented with a fleece blanket.

My hubby and daughter will need tarps and uqs before our NEHHA meet up in may. I'll be busy.

I live very close to you. I use an ENO setup. A lot of people here will tell you you can do much better than ENO, but I have been extremely happy with my rig. I have camped in rainstorms with nothing getting wet and also in very cold conditions as well as summer heat and everything in between. I plan on swapping out a bugnet from Dutchgear when I get a chance and I would also like to replace the tarp with a cuben fiber tarp when funds allow, but for now I am doing just fine with all ENO gear.
