I've been here in Austin for about 2.5 years. I think beans are an essential part of any good chili. But beef destroys me... so I might be biased due to the porcelain gods rejecting my most recent beef-laden offering.
Is it the dance or the delicious, smashed-tomato salsa committee? Either way, count me in!
And that talk has been good stuff. Excellent work Tom. I especially like the laminated toe tag request. I'll have mine. Also good call on the pre hydrating - need to keep that pee clear. Thanks for the planning comments and I'm glad you'll be along. Hopefully for fellowship and not professional purposes.
Now there's a man with priorities close to my heart!
It's gonna be warm so I'll ask my bride to fix a bucket of sand for us to snack on after dinner.
As for food, I'll be glad to bring some cooking gear and throw something together. I was thinking something with cheese, veggies, and pasta. I'm open to requests.
Say it's not so! Talk about your beard, Kramer and erinkae withdrawal… why even go? We'll miss you guys.

Come to the Dark Side...We have cookies.
OK--
The thread was dormant for a while, but now that June is almost over, its livened up a bit. I'm going to list the folks who are attending. Please give a shout out if I leave you off the list. If you've posted on this thread, but did not say you were definetly coming, you won't be on the list. That doesn't mean you can't come or I don't like you, its just that I'm not sure. If you've previously said you can make it, but can't now and are still on the list, please shout out as well.
It looks like everybody is going to be going over to Neiderhoffer and we'll be within the "beg forgiveness" area for the number of folks at the lake. Some of you guys might have to go down trail to hang to make that more believable.
This is the headcount, some info posts (both giving out and asking for) will be coming soon.

Dang.
We gonna eat good.
Looks like you got a pretty good group lined up this year, but let me clear up a few things here....
1. It is possible to carry in a cooler (if you have your priorities right.... and don't need any other gear)
2. If you are planning on hiking with Sarge, add 6 to 7 miles to whatever he tells you, you WILL take the scenic route.
3. The ghetto is usually reserved for scoundrels, heathens, and rejects. (not sure how cookie coon thinks he's moved up to the lakeside site, but I see Zort knows exactly where he stands!) p.s. be careful down there in the ghetto... it's highly flammable. (ask me how I know)
4. Put me down as a maybe (gotta see what's going at work as the date gets a bit closer...) I'll find a place to hang, don't worry about me.
If you ain't havin' fun, you're doin' it wrong
3. The ghetto is usually reserved for scoundrels, heathens, and rejects. (not sure how cookie coon thinks he's moved up to the lakeside site, but I see Zort knows exactly where he stands!)
I believe the appropriate phrase is, "if you can't be a good example, be a stern warning"
"What are we going to do tonight Brain"?
"The same thing we do every night Pinky. Try to take over the world". -Pinky and the Brain
