Yeah, not to mention if we went there and still wanted to backpack we could hike to different spots each day.

Hey guys I'm in and probably my son and his girlfriend as well. It would be nice to move around each day. Perhaps even a hike up cardagan and hang at some elevation. Also perhaps some of us can show up on Friday as well.
It's looking like I won't be able to make these dates. I will be in PA for my daughter's birthday. Hope you guys have a good time

Bummer man, but at least it's for a good reason and not work.
Looking further out... On the living social app there is a 40 dollar whitewater rafting day trip on the Kennebunk river it includes a meal and post rafting bon fire. There are no date restrictions and it's good until June 30th. I'm thinking of turning this into a weekend with some hanging in late may let me know if you guys are interested.

Awesome, ya I agree I know of at least one pretty sweet campsite up on one of the ridges at reasons.
My goal is to nail down our location by the first so people can plan accordingly. If we decide on reasons we should probably try to contact her soon, to get permission and see if the road is accessible yet.
Let me know what you think.

Ok so I think I'm going to call an audible on this one, and change it to Mt Greylock in Mass. Same dates, it just looks like conditions are generally better out in the Bershires that time of April. So again anyone interested or if you just have some info on that area you want to share, please let me know.
Ideally I'd like to spot a car at Greylock and start South of there on the AT and hike in with an overnight on trail and maybe one at the primitive area. I dunno just tossing ideas around for now. Not sure how that works out logistically as far as shelters/campsites and whatnot

I'm good with Greylock. Haven't been there in years. I just don't know about going in one place and exiting somewhere else. I like the out and back, because I like being about to leave at my own pace/time. That's why I like the Pemi loop so much. There is a loop near Bennington VT off Rt 9. 10 miles in on a side trail and return to the same parking lot on the AT. Either place we may have to hang at one spot and do a day hike/firewood search during day two. Just thinking out loud.
