    3 days in the rain

It's amazing how 3 days in the rain hammocking will show you exactly what you need.
Besides all the cub scouts asking 400 questions about tarps and stuff, it was a good experience.

I need to make or get a new large hammock!!

All outings provide memories but some memories are better than others, and if it wasn’t for the trips that didn’t go to good we wouldn’t appreciate the great ones as much. I’m sure we can all relate to what you went thru on this one.
My ego said, SURE you can.
Half way in my body said OH NO YOU CAN'T

The best camping stories are the ones where you later say, "Remember that time when..." and almost always it is something like dropping your dinner or the bottom coming off your boot, etc. It's those thing that don't go right that often make the trip stick in our head.

A memory that always makes me smile is sitting on a backwoods throne in the rain. A lovely 40ish degrees, foggy, light rain and water dripping off of the trees. Every morning constitutional should be so beautiful.

Well I misspoke in my post.
I need to make a new large TARP. I did great and didn't get wet, however a little more room never hurts.
I did use my winter sock some, and it can freak you out a little all stuffed in a tube.

I did let my dog try its new hammock, and it went freaking crazy! flopping all around like it was falling from space trying to get out. It was embarrassing as all my scout leaders were watching me trying to get the dog in its hammock! I might have to make a pillow for its hammock to lay in it, so its more sturdy for her.

It rained a lot, so much so that it collapsed our dining fly's..........
