    yeti as a top quilt?

This maybe a silly quesetion but is it possible to use a yeti as a top quilt? I was thinking in terms of maybe having two, one 3 season and one winter, and using one as a TQ and one as an UQ. I tend to be a cold sleeper so if it were below 30 and I had the winter yeti as the UQ, would the 3 season yeti be warm enough as a TQ? And if it were in the 30-40 range and I had the 3 season yeti as a an UQ, would the winter yeti be overkill as a top quilt?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on this.

A Yeti is thick/warm enough to be a top quilt, but not nearly large enough. It would only cover part of your body.

Just an opinion, but no - no - and - no!
Too short to be effective unless you are really vertically challenged.

LOL.. well, I'm 5'4 so I'm at least somewhat vertically challenged. So even a full-length UQ wouldn't do it?

Some full-length UQ's would work as a top quilt. But you asked about Yeti's specifically, which are not full length.

I'm 5'6 and the Yeti goes from my shoulders to just about my knees. BTW just received my yeti about an hour ago

I agree with cannibal. in those temp ranges, the yeti is too short for a tq. now if you were talking mid to low fifties, the yeti would do a great job of taking the chill off your upper body. I have used a jacket over me in these temp ranges and was plenty warm, but I was also completely dressed.
