    Kijaro jungle net

i seen one old thread on this thing but couldnt find much more on here, anyone ever try this thing out? $42.94 with prime shipping seems like a great deal, but 0 reviews :\ my hammock has an integrated net but figured it would be nice for the kiddo's or something.

Somebody was asking about the kijaro tarp recently, but like you said, not much on the company, period. A 1.8 lb. bugnet is pretty heavy!

At under 9 feet long (106.3 inches) its too small for most hammocks.

    This one works, though:

FWIW, a 10'-6" hammock with an 83% ridgeline would be ~105".

Yah. Operating on the "11-0 hammocks is the consensus" thing.

But an inch to spare is cutting things pretty close.

I think the mesh would be flexible enough to work with a slightly longer hammock ridgeline. I wonder about the height of the ports for the hammock rope, though, and how high you'd need to hang a tarp to cover everything. Might be okay. I like the zipper entry location, but it may need some tension on the whole structure for the zipper to operate smoothly. This might be a great net for camping with a well-behaved dog that sleeps under your hammock.

I noted those lower ports and how that might affect limitations on length of hammock. It may also necessitate a lower hammock. The specs call for it to be 66.9" tall. Without actual dimensions its difficult to be exact, but they appear to be about 3/4 of the way to the top, which puts them ~4'-0" above the ground. That's kinda low for a ridgeline.
