Wow that looked like a concussion moment to me. Hopefully they weren't hurt too bad.

A smile is a curve that can get a lot of things straight.
Ouch!
Although this is set up in broad daylight it's a reminder to check the trees if you get to camp at night or during winter when there are no leaves on the trees. A dead tree might not stick out in the crowd.
My daughter Ironfish77 hung her hammock in a site we have used a lot over the past 10 years. She climbed in and all the sudden things did not feel right. I looked over at her, one tree was leaning toward her. She gently exited her hammock and slept on the ground. When we investigated in the morning, the tree was near a creek, the creek had under cut the bank, the ground was soggy, the tree did not have a good toe hold on the earth. Very large tree, no sign of problems (we always lean all of our weight on the hammock to test before climbing in. Original test did not warn us, getting in did give us a warning. For me looking at how much that tree flexed was un-nerving. In the future we will not Hang right next to a creek in a Rain Forest, ground is spongy at best, with storms and water movement anything might happen.
Oh my, my daughter is about the age of these two girls so this pains me to watch. That could not have hit in a worse spot either. I hope they are both okay.
jesus - ouch indeed.
Wow, that must have hurt. On a recent snow shoe trip I was partially set up when I looked up to see a very large dead tree nearby similar to the one in the video. Even though I was tired, cold and dehydrated I moved my set up. This video plus the story of the AT hiker makes me glad I moved.
Don't let life get in the way of living.
Someone was just killed on the AT by a widow maker. Makes you think.
Wow, that looks like a trip to the ER to me.
