    Semi-Permanent Hanger

I'm just curious. Are there others out there that sleep out on their decks for 2 weeks straight?

    Am I just psycho?
My wife, who is understanding at times, is not sure what the attraction is. I've explained how there's no pressure points and how nice it is to fall asleep listening to the night sounds, and the creek babbling next to you.
But I seem to have undergone a metamorphasis of sorts because, I can't sleep comfortably in a bed anymore. Let's face it, you can't beat the comfort of a hammock or the quality of sleep you get from a night in it!

So, please give me some feedback and let me know if I've lost it.

I dont hang on the deck, I have hooks installed in our bedroom. My wife doesn't share my love for the hammock, but she tolerates me sleeping there. Great sleep, much less aches and pains, less tossin' and turning. I cant speak enough on how much better I feel.

Are you psycho? hmmm, your probably asking the wrong crowd. But you know what you like and what makes you feel good.

does sleeping in the hammock make you more or less able to function in your daily life?
if less, then there is a problem,
if more, then it is an adequate coping strategy and should be embraced.
end of psych eval. go forth and enjoy your life.

While not an every day hanger, I've been consistent for the Summer, with every weekend and vacation/holidays in the hammock. Ditto on less tossin' and turnin'. I actually feel more refreshed in my daily life. I think I sleep more soundly and dream more in the hammock. My deck doesn't have room for a hammock so I sleep out with the goats. They seem to have gotten used to me being out there.

I slept on the couch last night. Wasn't in trouble, just wanted to see what it was like since it's been a while.
    I'm not a semi-permanent hanger, but I am a permanent hanger.

I would love to be able to sleep in my hammock all the time. But my wife for some reason thinks she would miss me or something. Go figure. But she ocasionaly does a girls night out and then the house hanging can begin. I do have plans to through in a few 4x4's in the back yard before the bad weather get here. I might get a night here or there.

    Every night, dude, every night.

I had a conversation with my GP today on the topic of bad backs, sleep, and hammocks. She was fascinated, and asked if she could give my number to some of her other patients. Of course, I said yes.

I hang a lot in my living room. Ditto on the best night's sleep, no back pain, etc.

In answer to your question: Yes, you're a psycho. A freak. An aberration.Welcome to group.

My name is Pedro, and I've made my wife a hammock widow for two months now.
