What are you guys doing for guy line tie-outs these days?

    So?

    What are your latest preferences?

I use a Superfly and have always just used straight Zing-It tie outs (Brandon's recommendations for length) larks-headed onto the tie outs and half hitches onto the Y stakes.

Ive been looking into integrating shock cord / dutchware to make setup easier and keep the tarp from losing tension in the wind. Any suggestions? I was thinking looped shock cord (3-4") on the tarp tie outs, with tarp fleas / worms + Zing-It.

    Thoughts?

I just have a small loop of shock cord (double fisherman's knot) on the tarp with my line attached and a marlin spike at the stake. You have to decide whether or not your personal preference is for a reflective line or stealth line.

This may give you a few ideas. My current favorite is glow line and worms.

Mine is overkill and expensive, but I like the other properties of the line. 1.8mm spyderline

I've got shock cord loops with a dutch flea on each tie out. Then zing-it tied on my stakes. I got the idea from 12something's video. It's a great resource for different options.

Zing-it, shock cord loops, and mini line locks.

I mostly use lawson glowire with Linelocs 3s now, zing it is fine and I occasionally use that too but I prefer the no tangle and colour of glowire, plus ease of use of Linelocs. No tensioner here, I crank the tie outs REALLY tight and have never had issues with sag, yet. YMMV.

Your suggested guyline setup would surely work.

I currently use braided mason's line with 12" shockcord doubled over(ala JustJeff) at the stake. Prussic knot at the guy out. No hardware.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
