War Bonnet Traveler vs Eno Double nest

I was thinking of getting the blackbird but then I saw the traveler. it seems the traveler is a symmetrical hammock without the shelf and attached bug net. Other than that how is it different than the Blackbird. Or for that matter the double nest which is my current main hammock.(tried a hennesy but just could not jive with the bottom entry. Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm sure it's in the whipping, but my Traveler is more comfortable than my ENOs; even the doubles. Quite a bit lighter too!

The Traveler is lighter, comes with an attached ridgeline, and is available in double layers if you want.

It would be easy enough to whip an ENO like a Traveler.

Travelers are only available in a solid color.

Seriously, they're both really basic hammocks; nothing special about either of them. I like the material on the ENOs a little better, but the lay of the Traveler is better suited for me. ENOs might be more durable over the long run due to the fabric being a little heavier, but beyond that there isn't much to compare and contrast the two.

    Ayup.

The Traveler is 'Made in America'.

I'm working on a Traveler review, but won't have it together for a few more days.

The traveler also comes with war bonnets ring buckle type suspension? he uses a triangle though instead of ring buckles. Same idea right? A loop goes around the tree and is secured with a caribener. Then you tighten at the hammock end through the triangle?

Well, except he has apparently run out of the tri-rings and has switched to a cinch buckle of sorts. Pretty close to the same weight and function. In the soon to be future, he says he will have some other buckles that are lighter than the current ones.

Same idea, a bit lighter than a cinch buckle. A bit more prone to slip than a cinch buckle, but maybe not more than a ring buckle. I think, just like with the BB, you can get either a buckle/webbing suspension or a lighter, less bulky rope hugger combo. Whichever pros/cons you personally prefer.

I don't have one yet, but I'm suspecting a Traveller/WB Net would just be a superb way to go, especially considering weight and versatility. In fact, as much as I love the BB shelf and zippered netting, I think I kind of wish I had gone with that combo instead of the BB. Considering a few folks have indicated that they are very similar comfort wise. I would prefer the versatility. I could leave the net behind in winter plus it should work better with my Pea Pod.

I have vaguely been thinking about selling the BB and ordering a Traveller/Net combo. But that is a pretty big step and I have not been able to pull the trigger yet.

Can you explain the difference is whipping? I understand changing the suspension, but I don't understand how you change the whipping and how that effects the comfort of the hammock.
