I finally got a chance to do some bad weather test in my new warbonnet mamajamba tarp. I had it set up in porch mode most the time. was able to cook under it sitting in my camp chair with my legs completely extended. never even got damp with a heavy rain coming down. was able to use the tie out points with sticks that I found in the woods. who would have thought you can find sticks in the woods? the tie out points really let me tie one side of the tarp down tight and have plenty of room under it for a good diagonal lay, and room for entry. the porch side I tied off to a couple of well placed trees that gave me a great view of the river. the rain came down hard all through the evening and night. and all through the evening and night the tarp stayed up in porch mode. I was very surprised about the amount of room under the mamajamba for cooking and moving around. the next morning I awoke very dry and very happy with my new tarp. would always recommend to another for staying dry and keeping the wind off you. it is light, great coverage even in heavy windy rain. great tarp. the out come of my entire bad weather test was completely dry the whole time. so complete success.
