awesome OP. Glad you scored some gear.
Never done the garage sale thing, I have heard they can be a mad house and somewhat unpleasant. Deals to be had though. Ill have to check one out sometime.

“The word hammockable (Meaning: two trees that are the perfect distance apart between which a hammock can be hung) is not in the dictionary, but it should be.”
It can be hectic but every one was very polite. From what I heard from others, this one wasn't as busy as usual though. Probably because it was raining that night and the morning of.
I used to live a couple blocks from the Mothership in downtown Seattle--that place got real nuts. Camping out for deals there has always been pretty popular. Sometimes you'll see people selling food from MSR stoves. The other year in Boise they just drew numbers out of a hat for the first number in your member #. The people who showed up early seemed a bit peeved by this.
I'm not big on crowds so I usually do the day-after garage-sale sale, where everything is 50% off garage prices. It's a crap shoot in a crap shoot, but at least products are within a year old now that they updated their highly-abused return policy.
Is the garage sale sale (day after) at all stores? Will have to look into that.
