Nice tarp, excellent report thanks
Very Nice! How wide is the tarp? That looks like a nice tight pitch with no side pull outs. Those cat cuts must be doing their job.
What't the final weight? I don't think it was mentioned in the video.
You mentioned the sound of the raindrops on the material. That's one of the things I love about my MembraneSil tarp. Hard to describe the sound: more of a "tack" than a "tick" sound. More muffled.
And that cool indigo looking color inside.
Thank you sir. High praise coming from you.
They are that for certain. The membrane sil has "a bit of give" to it. That being said, I feel like I could pitch it even tighter if I wanted. I'm hoping to sponsor a small hang with some local noobs next weekend and will get a chance to set her in porch mode for the first time and play with the manner in which I stow the flaps in said mode. Should be fun. Probably another excuse to make a short video. Oh, and she is 12' d-ring to d-ring and 10' in width cut to cut.
I mentioned that on a previous video but I won't force you to watch it. The weight will change +/- a few grams as I'm swapping out tie out lines later this week, but it sits currently in stuff sack, ridgeline and tieouts lines included at 19.15 ozs. or 543 grams.
That is an accurate description. It is more muffled or a tack sound. In my cuben fiber it was more like a snare drum. It is closer to what I experienced in my original HH Hex sil nylon tarp but still a little more muffled than even that. I believe it has something to do with that "bit of give" mentioned above. Whatever the reason or the component, I like it. A plus 1 on "that cool indigo color inside" as well. Wasn't anticipating that when I had it made but that was just one more of the many bonuses I got from the tarp.
