    Almost a year long member, first post

    Hi all - coming close to being a member of this forum for a year just lurking around and taking in all the good information.

    Figure its time to say hi officially and thank everyone for all the great post to help me with my purchases and introduction to hammock camping.

    Thanks, yes, I have been able to take it out a few dozen times over the past year. Even with that I feel there is more to learn. I camp in normal tents, roof top tents and hammocks depending on who I am going out with (wife, friends, etc.) I must say the hammock is my personal preference now!

    I'm with you on that. I just have a diy gathered end hammock, eno profly, kelty 20 degree bag, and hg phoenix 20. Eventually I'll upgrade the tarp to either the superfly, tadpole, or even diy and my bag to a tq, but for now everything works just fine.
