What ridgeline organizer do you use?

I am wanting to add a ridge-line organizer to my WBBB XLC and would like to know what others use to organize items kept inside the hammock?

I've gotten by fine using only the shelf, and a tiny flashlight that's permanently prusik'ed to the RL. The key has been keeping the small stuff in a bag so it can be easily found by feel. Fishing around in that big shelf for something small you need and can't find gets old fast when it's late and cold.

I've been getting along just wonderful with my DIY organizer made from a mesh pocket from an old backpack and some ripstop nylon. I use prussik knots to lock it tightly on the RL so it doesn't sag, yet can be easily moved if needed. The two pockets work great for phone / flashlight / things that go boom / whatever...

I made my own. It's not perfect and I also learned that the mitten hooks just make it sag together when there's any weight in it. . I'm going to add a few tabs of velcro and drape it over my ridge line, or as Klaussinator did use prussiks.

I've got a DIY ridgeline organizer similar to McBlaster's above, only without the hooks. It just hangs over the ridgeline secured by Velcro. Made mine out of some spare mosquito netting.

I haven't made my own, yet. But of all the organizers that came with my hammocks, I like the Dream Hammock model best. It's quite small, very light, but has a lot of capacity. And the pocket sizes are just right. However, my big and heavy stuff always goes on my WBBB shelf.

In addition, I use biners and prussiks on my ridgeline to hang my pocket light, glasses and my valuables. It's has also been very useful to use the double ended hammock stuff sack as a peak bag. I have threaded dog bones through the gathered ends to clip the sack in.

I like using my peak ridgeline shelf/pocket that comes with the Bonefire hammocks, but making your own ridgeline organizer is the best way to go to have pockets where you want them. If you don't mind a little more weight and you want to buy one, the ridgeline organizers sold by AHE work well as an add on.

What did you put around the outside edge of yours? I can't tell in the pics. Is it just grosgrain? Or what?

I use two small gear hammocks and a mesh organizer.

The larger of the two gear hammocks is for my shoes and next day's clothing, etc. The smaller is my "night table" where my glasses, headlamo, and tablet go. The organizer is for the wallet and keys.
