    What in the world is a crotch waffle? And to be clear, the intersection you speak of is on the north side of the loop correct? I admit, I'm of the GPS generation, maps and I have an infrequent relationship. I'm thinking a few gallon jugs from the store? or am I wrong on that? and how many gallons should I bring to stash at the intersection and parking lot?

    I apologize for the million questions, I feel silly, but I have to start learning somewhere since this is my first foray outside of state park camp grounds. I really appreciate the guidance.

    Well, think about it.

    You drive up to a window pay the girl and get your food. You put the car in gear and head down the road. Where does the burger go while your driving?

    Gallon jugs work as long as you have something in your pack to pour water into. I like to carry a couple of 16 oz store bought bottles and refill out of gallon jugs where and when possible. A Smart Water bottle with the flip top lid is a good cheap bottle to use. Costs a dollar filled with water that's 'sposed to make you smart, wieghs less than a Nalgene, and the blue nozzle at the top is the right size to fit in your Sawyer Squeeze filter if you meed to back flush.

    Not sure which intersection or loop your talking about.

    Don't worry 'bout the questions. The only stupid question is the one you should have asked and didn't.

    Hey Tyler;

    For you Tech Laden yoots, there's an app called Maprika that you can put on your dee-vice.

    http://lonestartrail.org/maprika.html

    It will show your location on the trail map.

    Sarge, The intersection I was speaking of is the intersection "where the LSHT crosses Osborne Road" one of the water caching sites you mentioned. I figure I've got the time, so I may as well go hide some water. Just wanted to be clear on the intersection you were talking about. As for insulation, I'm set, and that maprika app looks awesome, thanks!

    OK;

    Yah, that's the intersection I was talking about. I'll be bringing my patented and trusty Kitty Litter bucket for caching meals in, along with some half pound coffee cans to put the meals in before they go in the Kitty Litter bucket. Was planning on taking Osborn over to 149 and dropping them along the way. Anyone who wants to cache meals in the bucket are welcome to, there's plenty of room and I have extra coffee cans.

    Maprika should help you find the trail crossing. They can be a bit hard to see driving by.

    Ok Sarge, so I just loaded maprika for the first time and thanks for it. Even though I'm scheduled for the Goose Island gig, I am trying to follow along with what you are doing also. So I looked at the maps and they are awesome but for the life of me I can't figure out the trailhead numbers. I don't see any. I know trailhead 8 is where the butt bake and ministry meetings were last time right? But when you look on the map it just shows a blue square saying P for parking, how do I figure out what number it's supposed to be?
    Thanks, Sooz
