6 months ago I had none. I bought a cheap one on a deal online and didn't use it because I didn't have a good space to hang it. I gave it to my daughter because she's 9 and I hung it underneath her homemade bunk-style bed that is only 1 bed really. I occasionally sit in it while playing with her in her room. I then made my own 12.5' hammock, added bug net, UQ, whoopie slings, adjustable structural ridgeline, and made a sort of sleeve to pull over the whole thing under my tarp. I then made a second just like it for my wife but I haven't finished the bug net, etc, yet. She'll use hers far less than I will anyways, especially since I set it up in my bedroom on my stand and have been sleeping in it at home. So my count for now is 3 for a family of 3. Don't worry though, my addiction is growing and I'm looking for a different kind of fabric to try for my next homemade. The commercial ones are great but there's that extra satisfaction in making your own.

I have 5 generic camping hammocks. The 2 I started in and the 3 others I picked up for the wife and kids that they've yet to use. I plan on at least one more, a Dutch 11'er. I need to go down the UQ rabbit hole before I get another hammock though.

I currently have 3. One in need of a new set of zippers that I will someday send to Zipper Queen to get fixed. My (temporary) replacement for that hammock & a "spare" I have owned about 6 - 7, however, as I get a new one & see a friend in need, well,,,,,, Yea, I HAVE 3 now. :-)
OH, Plus 2 Very heavy cotton ones, that are remarkably way more comfortable than the nylon ones, but weigh alone more than my 3 current nylon hammocks, so,,,,,

This has been a fun thread!!!

I currently only have 2. The very first one that I got was a jungle one from Amazon that served me very well for 2 years. I then began making all my friends DIY hammocks. I would then go camping with them and be jealous of the hammocks they had....that I made. I finally got around to making my girlfriend and I one. They are a little over 11 feet with an integrated bug-net(I was pretty stoked how well they turned out), I got dutch clips so that we can hang side by side. I have used it several times and love how it hangs but still waiting to get her out for an over-niter. I think my collection would be around 15 if I kept all the hammocks that I have made though!
If you don't know where you're going, any trail will take you there...

Last count: 5 DIY table cloth, 1 eno modified, 3 Hennessy, 1 walmart , diy hammock chair. But I still don't have a yellow one or a red one. Only camped in the woods one time this year. A lot of hammock time in the back yard. You cannot have too many hammocks.

Update....two Wilderness Logics Night Owls, Dutch netless, GT single, GT traveler, and now.....a Tentsile Connect (not sure if the Tentsile counts as a hammock and if so would it be considered one or two?).

I use to make and sell swords and knifes but it just hurt to much to watch my "babies" go out the door.
