Pole Mod Kit

There's been some chatter on the forums about pole mods for some tarps and I decided to just go with my gut and order a pole mod for my Bullfrog Tarp from where I originally ordered it from a year ago. I know Marty will send my order and it will fit exactly as it's supposed to. No second guesses, no it "might" fit, no excuses and no bull. I like the peace of mind and quality that Marty and Wilderness Logics give me. Marty's flawless customer service and quality is why he is my go to in the past, now, and for all of my future purchases. This is my third order and its all because of Shug's video of the Snipe that got me hooked.

I love both my tarps a tadpole with doors and pole mod and a bullfrog currently without pole mod but that may be changing soon.

One of these days I will retire my Old Man Winter. One of these days...

But until then, the OMW goes everywhere I do.

I have tried it both ways, building my own pullout kit for another setup and buying one from Marty. My stuff never worked as well, poles were too thick and tore through grosgrain pockets or weren't the best length. Marty's, well it just works. No fuss, no muss, just works. I love that.

My pole mod gets used year round and spent an entire winter setup outdoors. We had decent snow for around here.

Poll mods are sweet, they really do help increase the Interior Space of your tarp, also help prevent the sides from being pushed in by the wind. I just finished a DIY pollmod kit made out of carbon fiber arrows this afternoon that works pretty well hopefully they hold up for a while. I use two different size diameter arrows some wider professional hunting arrows and then some cheap-o target practice kid arrows that were a smaller-diameter to put in the middle, had to do a little sanding to get it to fit right and secured it with super glue and reinforced where I cut with some tape to keep from splitting. Seems to work pretty good it's even hallow so I can run shock cord through the middle. I cut the arrows into 10 inch sections for a total of 5 foot overall.
