Great vid. I know what you mean about getting that 10-12hr snooze. I normally get about 4-5 hrs a night in my bed at home. This past trip I took down to Florida I slept like a log. Got 2 sepearate nights of 12 hr snooze. I can't do that in my bed. After this trip I nick-named my hammock "The Anesthetizer".

Good seeing you out in the woods again Shug.
Thanks for sharing Nature's healing powers -- and for some mighty fine philosophizing too!

Just last weekend spent 2 nights in the woods hanging with a bunch of scouts. It was great hanging in the morning enjoying my coffee and eating my breakfest. Refreshes the batteries.

That was a good watch! Made me feel like getting out there in the snow myself. You gave me a good laugh with that "I'll get off my ice shelf" comment.
    Keep the videos coming!

Thanks for the trip Shug and the "how to" hanging. Appreciate your thoughts on being grateful for the good things we have in life. Your view at about 27:07 in the video looking down the river in the sunlight was remarkable. That's all around us if we notice. Thanks for sharing.

I love the video. Made me trail sick.....I did 131 miles of the AT between 13 Feb. and 5 Mar. this year. Lots of ice and snow. The trip had a lot of firsts for me.
Coldest night in the woods (neg. 6 one morning)
    Most snow and ice ever.
    Longest hike.
First time taking videos of a trip.

Thanks to your video learning library I was ready for it. Watching your videos over the last few years I got a camera to take videos.
I enjoyed every mile of the trip. I want to do more deep winter hiking in the snow.

I found myself having as much fun making the videos as I did the hiking. See what I mean on my channel: "Hikehunter" on YouTube.

Shug you inspire the desire to get out and about. Yes the micro spikes work. Thanks for all you have done for the hiking and hammockin worlds.

    Shuggedy,

Was that campsite #10 @ Crosby? Those cedars looked familiar.

Nice to see the beautiful area you were in. Love that water running with snow and a blue sky. And i'm with ya shug. If we can get out into the woods and breathe, life is good.

It's nice to have it relatively close to home. I find a 3.5hr-4hr drive keeps me from getting spoiled. If I had a really nice place 15 minutes down the road, I can tell you it wouldn't be as special and I would get bored...or at least a little bored of it from going too often.

I like the adventure, quiet alone time behind the wheel, a quick fast food stop and anticipation of the piney woods reeling me in.
I like the long drive up. Minnesota changes from here to there.

Very true. I can't do it in my bed either...especially as I get older. Only in the woods in a hammock.

Felt natural being out there. Wish I had more time. Can't wait to retire!

Breakfast from the Hammock is the reason I backpack)))))

When on a solo the camera becomes a friend. I do feel as if I am talking to a good friend when I film.
Sound like your missing the woods. Whooooo Buddy))))
