I'll be there in spirit! I miss you guys!
I will be able to attend. Saturday morning will be my arrival.
Regrettably I will not be able to make this one. On call next week, and have to work on Saturday.
Samsara, Best of luck to you and your family. Hope your travels are swift and safe.
Cheers

Hang On !!!
I don't have room in my SUV (packing it for other camping trip) for my Sherpa, so I'm rigging a modified shopping bag/cart by attaching a plastic basket so the Chihuahuas can ride. There will be some room beneath them, but will be packing light. (I can just see Ron snickering
If we don't have too many people, I have 21, large, plump, already soaked and rolled, drunken dates in my freezer. Would prefer not to take a hard-sided cooler so this is a maybe thing. If someone is taking a cooler with ice and I can throw them in upon arrival, it's a possibility.
I won't bring the large pan and propane stove. I do have my never-used Vargo Triad alky stove, but might end up with the pocket rocket and butane canister. I have an 8.5" x 1.25" high round, non-stick pan. It looks like a round cake pan. Just need to use pot grabber as a handle.
I still have trash bags in the box given to me at the end of the last hang, I'll bring some bags without the box. I'll also take one contractor trash bag as outer protection at the end. Ditto with the plastic flatware I was given. I'll grab a handful in case someone needs.
I'm waiting to see what jem comes up with. She's always full of surprises. Also, since Jim was able to park the Subaru fairly close, I'm guessing they will have a cooler in there.
But, I agree on keeping it simple.
Where is this hang?

It is here; link above. Creekside is in the Arbuckle tract (bottom section of map). Camp is on the right side next to Lake.

Here is a link of previous planning threads. It is not too far form Frostproof. I'll throw up a link to state forest in next post.

Here is the State forest site. Got a nice colored map which I was trying to add but couldn't figure out how to mount(now mounted. Figured it out). Between the 2 links, you should be able to figure out where the Creekside campout is at.

For the scenic way in, enter the trail just past the kiosk and stay to your left on the Paula Dockery trail which hugs the creek. It's a winding trail with beautiful Florida views.
If you're carrying a heavy load and have blisters already, take the blue trail on Rick's map for the shortest, straight route. But, wear a broad brim hat & sunscreen because it's an exposed desert.

Yes the trail that runs the creek is a very nice walk!
Hey since I am coming in Saturday morning; can I water up with one of filters there?
And would y'all want to do the baked apples in the fire Saturday night? If so I will get the fixins for them.
