    Thanks! I have it adjusted fairly well and do not get any compression of the down. I have it fit loose underneath with an inch or 2 gap between the hammock and quilt. The draft collars on the end hold tight to stop the heat from escaping. I also have a 3rd vest that is untouched that I can lay on top of the quilt to provide some more loft. I would bring the usable vest on colder trips anyway.
    The extra fabric idea sound interesting. I'm just not sure I would want it with the use of the other vest.

    I saw these vests on sale again at the Garden Grove,CA Costco this week. They are starting at $17 this season. Come spring they may clearance them for $5 if it is anything like last year.
