Packages arrived

Well I've been working out of town since Dec. '08 coming home on the week ends. So I thought I would order a Warbonnet hammock,Speers winter tarp (bigger must be better) & SPE, some cc form from one of the links on one of the sites. I can't remeber which site. Sooo when I got home today everything but the foam was on the kitchen table. I opened the packages but my wife has yet to ask about them. Sooo I said to her " Honey

lets go get Susi tonight.

. Maybe after some Sake I'll tell her

while we are eating.

I like the way you think...... I too think it's way better to order the stuff I want and then explain them later!!!! And you can always use the ol excuse of..... but honey, the shipping to send this all back would be outragious!!!! Make sure you tell her that this is your early Christmas Present!!! You wouldn't happen to have a Birthday coming up too, would you???

Yea,,, I tried that once...

the next day she confronted me with the actual price and said she looked it up...

I still havent tild her about the MW-4...

Try...one night when you were missing her terribly you were doing what ever you could to dull the pain of being away from her. It's all kind of a blur but you must have looked at some gear to get your mind off missing her and accidentally ordered some. Honey I'm just weak without you, I'm sorry

I think she may want one now. I hope she never finds out the true cost! I like to camp from my Harley, it's a lot easier on gas than my 4x4 PU.

i incorporate my wife this way:

She loves the sense of accomplishment she gets from making gear for us, so she makes snake skins, huggers, quilts, you name it. have you tried giving her stuff to make? It helps if she sees it in action in my case, sees her stuff having an important role in the outdoor environment.
