Adding tree huggers or additional line for SF tie outs?

I just switched over to some super cool dutchware gear! So happy with the ease of the cinch buckle setup for my hammock, def more weight that the stock suspension (or whoopies), but the ease of use tops it all.

I also purchased some stingerz with 12' cord for the SF tie outs on each side of the ridgeline. My problem is that the trees in my yard are too far apart for the length of the cord to go from the tarp/stinger to the tree, then wrap around and come back.......

Trying to figure out the best way to solve the problem......add tree huggers to the tree to get the additional distance? this would be a pain to have to add to my pack weight. or should I tie additional cord to the tarp, like a dog bone if needed?

I assume you go from the tarp and around the tree and back to the tarp to form the "V"? Is the problem that you want to keep the "V" and don't have enought cordage? If you want to keep the "V" you'll probably need to add more length of cord.

    One way:

You could attach a small loop of line to the little hole on each Stingerz (what is the singular?), and prusik it to the line, farther away from the tarp, so that the line goes from the tarp, past/through the prusik/Stingerz, around the tree, and then you can tie it off to the Stingerz near the tree.

Yes, I use the V method and I am assuming I want to keep it..... is there another way?

Tie a taught line hitch instead, as long as you can at least wrap the cord around the tree and have some length left over.

I don't use a "V" set up, I just wrap my RL cord around the tree and then attach it to itself. I never have a problem with my hammock suspension interfering with my tarp suspension. You could tie the cord around the tree and secure it to itself with some kind of hardware or even a hitch and then just attach the line from the tree to the Dutch stingerz. I imagine 12' should be long enough to so that.

While I do know how to tie said knots, my thoughts were that, the stingerz did away with having to tie knots....those were the suspension adjustment.
