We've noticed a radical development in hammock camping. As it turns out, there is a new type of hammock available. Instead of hanging from trees (quite a precarious endeavor, I might say!), these hammocks sit on the ground. Not only are they much safer than traditional hammocks, but they have built in bugnets, tarps, and can fit more than one occupant (somewhat) comfortably.

From this point forward, /r/hammockcamping will only accept submissions about these new "ground hammocks." All posts discussing traditional hammocks will be heavily mocked.

Feel free to use this post to share your undying love for this great advancement in hammock technology.

Thank you for your cooperation.
