Just seeing who's getting out there tonight. Me and a friend are doing a gear test. I'm testing my new jarbridge three season and my new osprey exons 48.

I'm testing a jarbidge 3 season tonight as well. Shake out trip to our test lab for the family and I. Looking forward to getting them in the woods as much as they're chomping to go!

Wife and two kids all hung in the backyard last night. Well, correction. My daughter and I hung last night, wife and son slept in a tent. She wanted to test it again.
I tested a simple underquilt I made. 1 layer ripstop, 1 layer space blanket, 1 layer fleece. Weighs 15 oz with suspension.
Then used a 2 layer DIY TQ: 1 layer ripstop, 1 layer fleece. Shock cord gathered through an end channel for something like a footbox.
T-shirt and shorts only, got down to 63 degrees light wind. Stayed comfortable, any colder and I would have needed another layer on my chest area. No condensation problems with the space blanket, but going to order some Apex for the next prototype. Trying to settle on a good lightweight 3 season setup.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
slept in the yard last night! beautiful cool windy North Carolina night. slept in a t shirt, shorts, and no socks.
equipment:
hammock gear burrow 40 + 1oz
enlightened equipment 30 synthetic underquilt (custom sized smaller to fit me perfectly)
diy hammock
8x10 integral designs flat tarp (mambajamaba in my near future?)
did a double hang under 1 tarp with my girlfriend. we used 2 sets of straps and moved them to the opposite side of the tree so we'd be separated. We did Shug style this morning and drank coffee from the hammock =)
Ya I was also wondering if some like to have a synthetic on the bottom in case of rain splash and then use down on top?
I am literally sitting on my couch watching for the mail lady haha hurry jarbridge!!!
i hiked some of the colorado trail this past summer. i did a synthetic bottom quilt but i had it modified; it ended up being 12.3 ounces. i did synthetic because i was unfamiliar with the weather on the west coast and at higher altitude. i figured would be nice because of he quicker drying time if i got splash or some other form of dampness (i never did). even with a synthetic quilt i was still sub 11 lbs baseweight or less, it felt like it was worth it since my baseweight was pretty low anyway.
I would love to, but with tomorrow being Easter and all...
Next weekend I'll be testing a couple of different things hopefully.

Hang, engaged.
I did not have the possibility to test my Jarbidge tonight so I'm really looking forward to reading your thoughts when you wake up.
What's the weather like? We had 51F during the day yesterday and 21F when I looked at the thermometer this morning.
