There is one for sale on the Asheville, NC CraigsList that has been listed for about 2 months now. They want too much for it but at this point they should be ready to negotiate.

For what it's worth I love mine. Used it twice this past week (2 overnights) and heading out on another overnight tomorrow. I'll post up a 3-trip report shortly.

Thanks for the reply AdventureMyk! I dropped them an email, so fingers crossed. I hadn't realized that it's been posted for two months, hopefully they'll be willing to come down a bit on their price. What do you think is a good place to start? Reading the old posts here it seems like $400-$450 is the going rate for used in good condition.

I found mine virtually new for $400 with the tarp, tree straps and drip rings (about $650 new when shipped). That being said, I was very lucky. If I remember this one subbed out a pole when they lost one (not a big deal but negotiability goes up). I'd say $425-450 shipped would be fair though I'm sure they think they have a piece of gold.

If you are still looking, I have one I would part ways with. Us two became three this month. So, the Vertex no longer suits our needs.
