    Hanging Kids?

. This is a Kelty Jr. Tioga. Don't think they are made anymore but a good pack. They do have another Jr. Pack can't remember the name but will grow with the kids. Although if training them to measure grams I'd look elsewhere than Kelty. They work great for me and my family but are a bit heavy.

Not a gram counter by any stretch of the imagination...my packs a North Face Minuteman, quite possibly the heaviest pack ever made. It works for me though...
I like the looks of that Kelty, will see if I can find a couple and have the girls try them on.
Will look at the REI pack as well.
    Thanks!

I got my son the Gregory Wander 50. It's a little more expensive, but will grow with him for many years. The torso is adjustable from 13"-18" and the hip belt is also way adjustable.

I just checked out the Gregory Wander. That looks like a great pack. I love my Baltoro, Gregory makes really nice stuff. I'm going to measure my boy and see if his torso is at least 13". This is another contender.

Like MrKnot, I'd love to hear anyone else's pack recommendations for kids.
Like thrash metal? Check out my nephew's band, Deathwatch. He's an amazing drummer... https://soundcloud.com/user-660860695

Yeah, I really liked how the hip belt not only had enough webbing to be adjustable, but also the padding adjusts in length to make sure he's got the support as he grows. It's a little big on him now, but it carries well.

I've got the Savant 58 myself and have been pretty happy with it.
