    Be carefull with rotary cutter

Took my wife to the emergency room to have eight stitches put in her left index finger from a rotary cutter this afternoon. She let the cutter get on top of the guide while cutting quilt material.

No it was not a hammock quilt.

They are a great tool just be carefull with them.

Sorry to hear that ... it's going to be sore for awhile I bet. Thanks for the reminder ... Geesh 8 stiches. That's a lot in one finger!

    Glad she's OK.

    Youch! sorry to hear that.

Those things are really sharp. I was cutting some material on the dining room table and all of a sudden there was blood on the material! Wa...huh? Turns out I must have dangled my arm at my side because I had a 1" gash on the top of my thigh! Whoops!

I sure won't give up the rotary cutter for scissors, though!

Sorry to hear that. It's like a straight razor wheel. Hope she recovers quickly.

Get well soon. (to the Mrs.)

I have zero experience with rotary cutters (yet), so I could probably benefit from the warning the most.
    Thank-you
