NX-270 New hammock offering from Clark

NX-270 - check it out on the Clark website. Same design as the NX series.

Pockets accesible from the inside. A lesson learned from Warbonnet?

What do you think about it?

That looks pretty cool. Just a bit heavy and $$$!

Looks very nice. My pre-velcro-all-around NX-250 is starting to seem more and more ancient :P

It looks like a nice addition. I have a NX-150 and it is my go to hammock for all seasons that I camp. The only improvements I am aware of are the addition of zippers to provide interior access to the pockets, shock-corded poles and an loop for stash bag at foot end of the hammock. Not sure that is enough to make me spend the $$ to buy a new Clark when the one I have is perfectly fine. I may reach out to Clark ask what other improvements there were. I will let you know their response.

Follow up: i received a response from Clark, that is the total of improvements. I asked them if they would consider a trade in of an NX-150 towards a NX-170. They won't take a trade. Not unreasonable of them. So now I get to decide if I should sell the NX-150 and get the NX-170?

To me, the pocket access from the inside is the one real upgrade - everything else is minor and has no major impact. I can see use of the strap at both ends, maybe. I wonder if it will drive the price of used NX-150/250's lower. If folks will see the price gap between used and new and decide new is worth the cost for the internal zippers. I'm not swayed to sell my TX and upgrade to a 170/270 for inside pocket access though I do like the upgrade. If I was currently looking at purchasing a Clark I would be looking at ones with internal pocket access.

If I didn't already have a clark, this could be the the deal maker for me. I mean, think about it, zippers inside the hammock. Kind of revolutionary if you ask me. Probably won't sell my 2 year old NX250 for it though, its my go to hammock 9 months out of the year, all but summer.

Still and all though, a NX 270 in camo...it is tempting

Looks like a pretty good hammock! So, when they list the weight, does that include the tarp and suspension? Also, do they have a sale once a year?
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
