    Hammock Gear Sleeves

Just curious, am I the only person who uses one HG cuben fiber sleeve for the HG cuben standard tarp? I do the same for my Dream Hammock. One sleeve and the fit is perfect. Anyone?

I have alway's wondered if using CF Tarp Sleeves would slow drying of the tarp vs. Snake Skin Sleeves? CF are lighter, only about $4 more so not cost prohibitive, and HG sleeves would create a perfect fit on the HG Tarrp. I am still indecisive (and luckily can be) until I purchase the CF Tarp. Has anyone used both and picked one?

Never even heard of this until just now, and it looks great, better'n snake skins. I don't see drying time as an issue because a wet tarp won't dry much in snake skins either.

Question: is it big enough for a big sil tarp, like a Superfly?

Another question: in the comments section of the HG site, it sounds like some people use the for hammocks too. Are they really that big? Big enough for my 11' XLC with bug net?

    Thanks for,the great info!

Yah the Cuban sleeve buy HG are plenty wide easy to fit a huge tarp, I fit my 4 season 12 foot RL tarp in it with plenty of room.

I use the 2-piece CF snake skins for my Winter Palace... fits great and very light weight. Agree with above that no wet tarp is going to dry inside any type of snake skins.

I use a single HG sleeve with my Roaming Gnome (?) Dream Hammock. It fits it with bug netting and the HG pillow. One pull and it's ready to be put back in your pack!

I do the same with my standard. I like one sleeve, easier and faster. Tried mine for the first time this past weekend. I'm thinking about getting one for my hammock too.

Do HG sell only the one large skin? I cant see an option for 2 smaller skins? If using just one large skin, dont you loose the option to peg out your tarp one half at a time when it's windy?
