Two weeks ago I was able to camp out in the Michigan woods, next to the Betsy River, in (I think) Manistee county.
my set up:

I'm trying to convert my nephew to hanging. In that effort, I gave him my Byer Mosquito Hammock.
He seemed to like it. Beautiful night. After the moon set, there was at least a million stars. Overnight temps in lower 40's up there.

The next week, I hung right next to Rt 68 in Tellico Plains,Tennessee for three nights. Got some rain one night. Everything cosy under my S.G. tarp.

I think I'm "gear ready" for a week on the App. Trail.
