    Tarp Decorating????

Ok so I was thinking of making a stencil for every trip I take and use my rain fly and lightly spray paint this logo or stencil on the outisde. Just like a light dust over not like three coats. Would this damage or question the integrity of the water proofness. Has anyone else done this?

Haven't heard of it, but it would be pretty cool if it worked. I know people have had art done on their packcovers, both sil and cuben, so I imagine there is a way. Not sure if spray paint is the answer, but I would be interested to see.

I doubt spray paint will stick to the silicone coating on the tarp, but it shouldn't hurt anything to try, if you want to.

I used a marker pen and those old plastic letter stencils for a military look that lasted quite well. Not exactly a piece of art but it's all I could muster.

Okay, I love this and I hate this. Those are awesome ideas for tent structures. Love the designs and the creativity. Very cool.

Hate it because you got me thinking about what I could do to my Membrane Sil tarp. I'm already obsessed with this thing as it is (working on my third video about it now). I wonder how easily it would take screen printing....

Lord save me now. This is crazy.

Probably depends on the paint used and whether or not it would stick to the silicon coating. My guess is that this is how other manufacturers put their logo on their tarps. Whether they do it before or after the silicon process is another question.
