No need to make a special under quilt for a bottom entry. A standard under quilt with shock cord suspension should be able to be pushed out of the way while you are getting in and snap back into place once you're in the hammock.

I prefer using a 36" X 30" pad in mine, but have used an AHE Jarbridge 3/4 UQ - it works well and is only $100 ($75 if you catch a sale). I find the UQ works best if you don't use the Hammock tie-outs.

Well, Just completed an underquilt for the Hennessy, I will try to get some pictures up ASAP. I copied the the undercover from the Hennessy site. Used silnylon for the outer shell, and a inner insulation with a reflective side and then a cotton top. I put a hole in the bottom and used a bungy cord to keep it closed. planning testing it out on a weekend hike Rockfish Gap So. to Paul Wolfe Shelter.

I want to make an underquilt from an old sleeping bag for my Hennesy. Pictures of your project would be awesome!
