Great job on the TR. Nice to know what your gear can do. What's next, -10* TR?

Thanks for your kind words, everyone!
I normally love being outside in the rain. It's kinda magical for me. I haven't been in too many extreme rain storms like this though. It was really great to find that (once the leak is sealed) I can trust my tarp!
Even with the wind constantly changing direction, having the larger tarp was definitely a plus!
Workin' on that one. After all, half the fun of hammocking is the process of being able to be prepared for just about anything. It's one of the many common hammock addiction symptoms.
fantastic report, so glad you posted it!! That was one grade A camping experiences, ok, minus the accorns, tree limbs, lightening, path to camp site ect.... What's a little drip from your tarp when you've survived all that!!! Way to go!! These are the trips that you'll talk about for a LONG time!! I'm actually jelous!

Great report! Always nice to know that your gear can hold up.
Nice! I really enjoyed reading that!
Loved the way you stuck in there to really see if you gear would hold up!

Great Post! Thanks. Lots to think about
That honestly sounded like fun!! Aint having a largish tarp great at times like that? At times like that I think back to when I (Gasp) tented & how different my time would have been.
Great report, thanks! I also like the flashlight loop idea!!

Wow, one of the best reports ever!
