Just putting this out there. My son and I are planning to hike from Brevort Lake to Tahquamenon Falls. The snow is mostly gone now, so it should be relatively easy tread. Any fellow hammockers who want to hike it with us are more than welcomed to join. This is in the upper peninsula.
I'd be interested to possibly hike a section of that route. I'm located in Marquette and my biggest concerns are logistics and getting off of work. (my my current schedule posted is up to May 2nd and I have that day off.
I just returned from checking the trail out...and calm my concerns about high water and snow. Looks to be good to go with still a bit of snow in the woods up near Whitefish Bay... my current plan is to arrive at the trail head around 2 ish (work until noon that day). We could possibly spot your car.
This sounds like a great trip and its on my "to do" list. Wish I could getaway and join you, but I've got work committments on the calendar. Right now I've tentatively planned a PIRO trip the 14-17th. Donk, hope you got you wife something special for letting you be gone Mother's Day.
