Cool VIDEO: A Trip Of Firsts - Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail

Join along on a trip of many firsts for me. It was my first time hiking with my buddy Sherpa (Dane), first time on the LHHT, first time with split fire wood provided, men & women privy, concrete mile markers and many, many more. I had an absolute blast, met some incredible people and can not wait until I step foot on this trail again.

The following is an excerpt from featheredprop.com - "The Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail is a 70-mile continuous footpath stretching atop the Laurel stickerRidge. It winds from Ohiopyle, PA to Rt. 56, near Johnstown, PA. The trail affords some great views of the twisting Youghiogheny River from high above Ohiopyle State Park, to the beautiful Conemaugh Gorge, near Johnstown, PA. It is open year-round."

Check out www.FEATHEREDPROP.com (Dane's Place) for more trail information including a book written by Dane about the LHHT - http://www.featheredprop.com/romancing-the-trail/

    Thanks for joining along!

    - Rob

Thanks for taking us along Rob. The sunlight streaming down through the trees looked fine. You didn't say who got the candy Saturday night at the campfire.

Thanks for the trip report! I haven't made it onto the LHHT yet, but it is on my list of trails to do. There are a lot of excellent trails in PA.

BTW, I noticed you used the Dutch Argon hammock with a bugnet on this trip instead of the Netty. I was just curious if there was a reason you didn't go with the Netty? I have a Netty in Argon and love it!

Hey Klauss - thanks. I am still working out the bugs on the "NoPro" SJCam4000. I have learned that I need to adjust the settings manually.

Thanks for watching. Find time for the LHHT, it is nice. No real reason - this was the 1.6NylonD 10' - my Netty is a 70D 11' (prior to them using Argon). I typically take a different hammock each trip depending on my mood.

    Thanks for the note!
