    HDHG- Taking a break.

After a rather candid and VERY scary discussion with my doctor yesterday, I've decided to not take on any new customers for the next few months. I've still got some jobs lined up, but I need to get outside, get moving and in my doctors words "Get off my @$$ and get back into the shape I was before winter started"

Those words aren't just to motivate me, they're my doctor telling me that the medications I'm on are dialed into a specific BMI and weight. It's easier to manage my weight and overall fitness than it is to try and re-balance those medications. It also explains why I've had such a hard time focusing, and staying awake recently. Those who know me, know what I went through years ago. Those who don't know the story.. it's a long one, and not one I'll get into on an open forum.

To my existing customers, friends, and family: If there has been ANY discussion of work/trade, then I am good for the work. I will reach out to everyone individually via PM's, facebook, E-mail and/or phone as needed.

I want to reiterate the fact that I have no intention of closing down HDHG, I do this because I love to make gear, and that passion isn't something I can keep suppressed for long. But right now I need to focus on my health. Who knows.. Maybe I can actually make it to a hang for a change.

I want to thank everyone for all the work, and business I've had in the last few months. I've been sewing nearly nonstop since launching Hound Dog Hammock Gear. But for now, I need to make my doctor (and my wife) happy.

Be well and work on you. I have to make the same balance with the stuff I do. Often I put everyone else ahead of me and its usually not my doc but my wife pulling the plug on my activities. I hope the best for you.
