    Hello from Germany

    Hey folks,

just wanna say "hello" - I've made a bridge hammock last year an without the lots of good quality threads in this forum it came out very well. That's why I think I should at least contribute a little bit ;-)

I'm from Northern Germany and interested in hunting, camping and kayaking. I also like to make my own gear, like sewing, leatherworks, woodworking and so on. Because of the health of my spine (I'm 196cm) I try to camp mostly in a hammock, especially since I've made my own.

I'm looking forward to have some good time here... :-)

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Welcome to the site! I lived in Germany (Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Mannheim) for about 7 years back in the 1990's and loved it! Sound's like you'll certainly be able to contribute to this community and please feel free to show pix of your handy work. I'm quite impressed by those who can DIY hammock gear...I'm lost when it comes to doing something like that on my own.
